When her soldier mother returns home, an elderly dog who can hardly walk, cries up
This is the story of Buddy, a 13-year-old dog who adored and spent her entire life with Hannah Falk. When Hannah turned 21 she joined the army and was sent to Oklahoma for military training.

Hannah was devastated when she had to say goodbye to her horses, Derby and Buddy, and her retriever, Buddy. So when she came home for the holidays after three months abroad, she was eager to meet Buddy.

Buddy, who Hannah adopted when she was a puppy, is now largely deaf and has arthritis as a result of her advanced age. She gave Hannah the most basic of greetings, though, as if she hadn’t seen her in a while when Hannah started to cry.
