Bobi, the World’s Oldest Dog Is 30

you are looking at the sweetest and oldest doggy face on Earth right now Bobby the Portuguese guard dog can legally rent a car in the U.S he’s 30.

when his dog was born in a tiny village in central Portugal Lionel costell was only eight little did he know the Beloved pup would literally grow up to make history back then Costa’s family had many animals and little money so his father used to bury newborn puppies rather than keep them but Bobby was smart realized what he was doing and

hid among a pile of firewood Costa and his siblings found him a few days later and kept it a secret until the puppy opened its eyes cut to several decades later when Costa got in touch with officials at the Guinness world of records submitted all the paperwork which is how Bobby was officially named the oldest dog on record Casa told Reuters

he’s so proud of the feat that he can’t explain it especially since some people told them they would not make it Guinness World Records called Bobby’s story miraculous in fact Bobby broken almost century-old record held by an Australian Cattle dog that diεd at 29 years and five months in 1939.

Bobby’s breed usually has a life expectancy of 12 to 14 years Costa attributes his longevity to several things like living in the calm Countryside never having been chained or kept on a leash and always eating people food
